For the first time in many years Willetton JFC does not make it to a Grand Final.
The Under 14’s and Under 17’s finished in the final four.
the Under 11’s won their Lightning Carnival which capped off a successful year.
The Club fields 9 teams and a Pee Wees group. K Mart sponsors the club in 1988 and contributes $500 towards expenses.
The Club holds 2 quiz nights and a Goal-a-thon which gave fundraising efforts a big boost.
WSC Junior Footballer of the Year
Michael Pratt is awarded the WSC Junior Footballer of the Year. He also received the Under 17’s fairest and best player and is the first Willetton player to earn the East Fremantle Junior Football Council’s 17’s Fairest and Best Medal. Michael had an outstanding year at Willetton having transferred from Kardinya in 1988.
James Darcy Memorial ‘Clubman” Award
Jeanette Gray in awarded the James Darcy Clubman trophy for her services to the club in the capacity of Club Recorder. She has held thus role for a number of years and is a very worthy recipient.
