R & MJ Sobott Engravers Trophy for Junior Footballers of the Year

Bob Burns is recognised for his contributions to the Willetton Sports Club through his deep involvement with Little Athletics as well as coaching Junior Football.  He is awarded the WSC inaugural “Muller Clubman Trophy”  in 1978 and in 1986 is nominated as a Honorary Life Member of the Willetton Sports Club

 

The first Willetton Fair is held in March 1978.

Club membership records are gathered electronically on a computer for the first time.

Willetton Reserve on Apsley Road is illuminated for the first time thanks to the WSC providing $2200 for floodlighting.

Lighting is also installed at the basketball courts at Burrendah Reserve as the WSC decides to run a junior basketball competition.
